Bradford (Park Avenue) are pleased to announce the signings of former players John Lamb and Matty James.
Lamb has returned to the Avenue after leaving at the end of the last campaign. The goalkeeper was number one last season making 51 appearances in all competitions. In his various spells at the club, the popular goalkeeper has made 155 appearances in total for Bradford (Park Avenue) and is part of the new-look 2014/15 squad.
Matty James returns to the Horsfall Stadium after a successful trial with the Avenue. James was part of the promotion-winning side from the Evostik Northern Division, but after one season in the Conference North, the midfielder left the club and joined local neighbours Farsley AFC.
Speaking to the club’s official website, James is happy to be back: “I’m delighted to be back at the club and hopefully we can have a successful season.”
Also, Jamie Price has re-signed for the Vanarama Conference North outfit. Price, 32, returned to the Horsfall Stadium for a second spell with the club when he signed in December 2012 from Ossett Town. Having spent his early years at Leeds United, the versatile player moved to Doncaster Rovers and in 2001 he signed a professional contract and broke into the first team making 55 appearances. Price also includes York City, Harrogate Town, Farsley Celtic and Garforth Town as previous clubs.
After extending his stay, Price, who has made 99 appearances and scored twice in all competitions for the Avenue, admitted he’s pleased to put pen-to-paper:
“It’s great news to sign and hopefully we can have a better start to this season than last season.”
