Bradford (Park Avenue) are delighted to announce Nathan Turner has joined the club following his release from Leeds United.
The 21 year old is the fourth new arrival at the Horsfall Stadium, as the club have already confirmed the signings of Bradley Barraclough, Paddy Miller and Scott Kerr.
Turner, who featured for Leeds United Academy has been on loan at Conference Premier outfit Chester FC for the previous two seasons. In his first spell, Turner was part of the squad that were promoted as champions from the Conference North, making 20 appearances and scoring one goal. Last season, Turner returned to Chester FC in the Conference Premier, and made 25 appearances.
Speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, Turner admits it’s a new experience for him:
“Since the age of seven, I’ve played at Leeds United. But, after being released it was time for me to find a new club for the first time in my career.
After speaking with the manager, he sold the club to me. He spoke to me about the history of the club, the fanbase and the way he likes to play football.
I’ve played against Bradford (Park Avenue) for Chester FC in one of my first appearances at this level, so I know what it’s like to play there, plus I know a few of the players there too.
I know what it takes to be promoted as I was part of the Chester FC team that were champions and there’s no reason I can’t be part of another with Bradford (Park Avenue).
I like to think I’m a hard-working, box-to-box midfielder who can screen the defence, but also have the energy to help the attackers.”
Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey is pleased to add Turner to his 2014/15 squad:
“It’s great to finally sign Nathan. He’s a top class player as well as a person, and his never-say-die attitude will be a great asset for Bradford (Park Avenue).”
