Yorkshire footballing legend Terry joined the Avenue board initially in November 2015, but was announced as Director of Football in June 2016.
As well as assisting Head Coach Alex Meechan with the first team management, Dolan has taken up the position as the club attempts to rebuild the whole football pyramid at the club.
Also an important aspect of Dolan’s role will be developing the community led academy, which the club fast-tracked to set up in the summer of 2016.
His appointment as director in 2015 came an incredible 47 years after he began his playing career, for Bradford Park Avenue.
Terry was team captain during his three seasons with the club, before moving on to play for Huddersfield Town (1971-76), Bradford City (1976-81) and Rochdale (1981-83). He then went on to take roles as a player coach at Thackley (1983-84) and Harrogate Town (1984-85).
Since then, he has had a number of senior roles on the management side of the game. He was manager of Bradford City from 1987 to 1989, then Rochdale (1989-91) and Hull City (1991-97) before becoming coach at Huddersfield Town (1997-2000) and manager at York City (2000-03). Most recently, he was manager of Guiseley AFC for the 2006-07 season.
Terry was a consultant and coach to the St Vincent and Grenadines national team as they progressed through qualifiers for the 2006 World Cup and Head of Recruitment in 2014-15 for Notts County FC in the Football League.
