Bradford (Park Avenue) are pleased to announce the signing of the experienced former Buxton defender and assistant manager Scott Maxfield.
Scott’s career began at home town club Doncaster Rovers where he came through the junior ranks to make the first team aged 18. After making 22 first team appearances he moved on to Hull City in 1995. Three years later he was back at Doncaster following his release by Hull and he went on to make a further 45 appearances for the club. In November 2000 he joined Barrow and won player of the year award four times over his five seasons with the Cumbrian side. 2005 saw a switch Stalybridge Celtic and two years later he made the move to Buxton. In his time with the Bucks he made 255 appearances while in the last few years he had been player coach and assistant manager. Scott is primarily a left back but can also operate in midfield.
