Bradford (Park Avenue) are pleased to announce defender Ryan Qualter has signed a contract to remain at the Horsfall Stadium.
A former York City junior, Qualter progressed through their ranks before he was released in 2010.
The 23 year old moved on to Tadcaster Albion where he won the club’s Young Player of the Year award in his first season.
During the 2012-13 season, the defender moved to Ossett Town and was given the captain’s armband before leaving for the Avenue in January 2014.
Since moving to the Horsfall Stadium, Qualter has made 17 appearances and has impressed with his displays at the heart of the Avenue defence.
After signing a new deal to stay at Bradford (Park Avenue), Qualter said:
“I’m really pleased to have signed a contract with the club. Last season was a really good experience for me to try and step up and play at this level and I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club.
When I spoke to John Deacey and Mark Hume, they explained that they wanted me to stay and I was extremely pleased. The club has got a good set of people on and off the pitch and with important players staying next year it can only be a positive. With the majority of lads staying and with a couple of new faces, I’m sure we can improve on last seasons position.”
Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey admitted he’s delighted to retain the services of the promising defender:
“I’m very pleased because I feel Ryan has great potential. He’s got a great attitude and improved with every game for us last season. I’m looking forward to working with him again.”
To watch Ryan in action for the Avenue, don’t forget season tickets are on sale, and the Early Bird deadline is Saturday 21 June. If you’re under 16 or a student (on production of valid ID), you can get a season ticket for FREE.
