After the 2-1 defeat to AFC Fylde, the Avenue defender Ryan Qualter admitted it was a disappointing result, but can see an improvement from previous performances:
“It was the best we played for a while. It was a tough place to come but like the manager said, there are positives to take from that performance. We go again on Saturday at Lowestoft.
But, Qualter said work will be done on the training pitch to prevent conceding goals:
“It’s a busy period for us now and we need to work on a few things because we’re still conceding too many goals. We can still achieve our aim of reaching the playoffs, but we need to tighten up at the back to help the team get three points.”
