Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC are pleased to announce the signing of Dan Clayton from Vanarama Conference North rivals North Ferriby United.
Clayton’s signing, however, sees Grant Black leave the Horsfall Stadium, moving in the opposite direction.
Clayton spoke to Avenue Press Officer Joe Cockburn as the deal was finalised this (Friday) morning.
“I play left wing, and would describe myself as quite a direct winger who likes running at players. I’m hoping I can come in and create chances for the strikers and notch a couple myself.”
“The reason I came is when I met (Avenue manager John) Deacey, he seemed a genuine bloke and he just wants to try and get the best out of me.”
“I like the style of football he tries to play and I also think there are some talented lads here who I wanted to become team mates with and hopefully win games with!”
“As for the rest of the season I hope we can have a good trophy run and progress up the table, trying as hard as we can to make the play-offs!”
Clayton hopes to make his debut away at Colwyn Bay tomorrow and is available should John Deacey choose to select him.
The football club would like to wish Dan all the best in his time at Avenue. We would also like to place on record our thanks to Grant Black for all his efforts during his time with the club, and wish him all the best at North Ferriby.
