On Tuesday evening, Bradford (Park Avenue) travel to Rivacre Park to face Vauxhall Motors in the Blue Square Bet North. (Kick off: 7.45pm)
The home side started with a victory at Corby Town on the opening day of the season. The only goal of the afternoon was scored by Vauxhall Motors’ new captain Tom Hannigan. Last season, the side from Rivacre Park finished 18th in the Conference North. Nevertheless, manager Carl Macauley has made a number of signings for the 2012-13 season, with additions including Michael Burns from Guiseley AFC, who featured as a substitute in the West Riding County Cup Final against Bradford (Park Avenue) in April.
Bradford (Park Avenue) prepared for their first away game in the league, since promotion, with a draw against Worcester City at the Horsfall Stadium on Saturday. Despite trailing by two goals and injuries to their front three, the Avenue produced a comeback, and equalised thanks to a 30 yard strike by Richard Marshall in the 88th minute. However, John Deacey will have to check the fitness of his injured trio of Danny Holland (knee), Alex Davidson (toe) and Jamie Jackson (hamstring). At the same time, the Bradford manager is hoping to have captain Rob O’Brien back from a thigh problem, as, both Ross Daly (hip) and Michael Duckworth (suspension) remain unavailable.
