Match Preview: Oxford City (18 March 2013)

Following the postponement on Saturday, Bradford (Park Avenue) and Oxford City will be hoping to play on Monday, as they meet at the Horsfall Stadium in the Blue Square Bet North. (Kick off 3.00pm)

Bradford (Park Avenue) prepare for the visit of Oxford City, unbeaten in five matches. Since a narrow defeat at the Abbey Business Stadium against Gloucester City, the Avenue recorded four straight victories. Bradford picked up maximum points against Vauxhall Motors, Corby Town, Droylsden and Workington AFC. During midweek, John Deacey’s men managed to hold playoff contenders Gainsborough Trinity at the Northolme, thanks to another stunning effort from Richard Marshall.

The away side managed by Mike Ford were promoted to the Conference North following a Playoff Final victory against AFC Totton. Since their promotion, City have recorded impressive results, including victories against Brackley Town, Workington AFC and Harrogate Town. Most recently, the visitors have only won once in five games, a 2-1 victory against Darren Edmondson’s men at Borough Park. During this period, City have drawn against Histon twice and lost to Gloucester City and Altrincham.
