Match Preview: Harrogate Town

Following their 1-0 victory against FC Halifax Town, Bradford (Park Avenue) return to action in the Blue Square Bet North on Wednesday as they welcome Harrogate Town to the Horsfall Stadium. (Kick off: 7.45pm)

The club would like to request for as many volunteers as possible on Tuesday from 10.30am to help clear the snow from the playing surface. If possible, please bring your own shovel.

The original fixture was postponed on Saturday due to snow. However, the Avenue produced a fine display to defeat the Shaymen on Monday, and because of the victory, Bradford are only a point behind Gainsborough Trinity, and six behind their opponents. Earlier in the season, John Deacey’s men held on for a draw at the CNG Stadium. A stunning first half strike from former Town player Richard Marshall levelled the score after an early Shane Killock goal. For the fixture, the Avenue will be without Jamie Price due to suspension.

Simon Weaver’s side travel to the Horsfall Stadium in sixth position and looking to close the gap on the teams above them in the playoff positions. On Monday, the visitors drew 0-0 with Gainsborough Trinity, extending their unbeaten run to four matches in the league. During this time, Town have managed to defeat Corby Town and picked up four points from six available against Bishops Stortford in two games.
