Match Preview: Boston United

John Deacey’s men will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games as they travel to face Boston United at the Jakemans Stadium on Saturday. (Kick off: 3.00pm)

Ahead of the fixture, the hosts have won their previous three matches. Firstly, the Pilgrims defeated Gloucester City, followed by victories against promotion chasing Brackley Town and Worcester City. Previous to their current impressive form, the home side won only once in seven games. Furthermore it was announced, earlier this month, former boss Graham Drury was replaced by Dennis Greene. Nonetheless, United will be looking to avoid defeat to the Avenue again, suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat at the Horsfall Stadium in September.

The Avenue make the trip to face Boston United without playing a fixture since the 12th March. Bradford have been affected by recent postponements, with matches against Altrincham and Oxford City called off. However, the visitors are unbeaten in five games, including a 7-0 win at Droylsden and a draw against playoff contenders Gainsborough Trinity. This week, the club announced the loan signing of Bradford City striker Adam Baker, adding further competition for places.
