Marshall: 'I'm Glad To Get A Point'

In their first game in the Blue Square Bet North, Bradford (Park Avenue) secured a draw, and the goalscorer Richard Marshall, explained his thoughts on his equaliser:

‘As soon as I hit it, I knew it was going in! I’m glad to get a point, they were a strong team.’

One of a few players with experience at this level of non league football, Marshall was pleased with the way his side fought their way back into the game:

‘The boys dug in and we pulled out a good result. At this level, you have more time on ball, but, you can’t give them chances as they score goals. The boys got used to it in the second half and did well.’

With the season underway, Bradford (Park Avenue) play their next game on Tuesday at Vauxhall Motors, and the goalscorer admits that his side need to be ready:

‘There is no easy fixture, we have to be on our game from day one.’
