Marshall: 'Glad To Get Into First Round'

The Avenue midfielder Richard Marshall spoke to the club’s official website, following his side’s victory against Ossett Albion.

Marshall, who, played again in a midfield role, admitted the visitors were a test, but, was pleased to get the win:

‘Yes, Ossett Albion played well. We were sloppy at times, but, I’m glad to get into the First Round.’

At the same time, Marshall joked at his inability to score during the afternoon, but, the midfielder played his own part in the win:

‘It was not of my better games, but, I was happy to get two assists!’

The draw for the FA Cup with Budweiser First Round takes place tomorrow, and the Avenue’s midfielder would like to reach the next round:

‘To be fair, some of the lads want to get a big draw. But, I would be happier with a smaller team and have the chance to progress further, but, obviously it would be good for the club.’
