Following the draw against Gainsborough Trinity, the Avenue captain James Knowles spoke to the official website.
The centre back admitted it was a tough game:
‘We did well tonight, although, we are disappointed with the way we conceded the goal. It was a blow losing Tom (Corner) from the start, which meant we had to set up differently. We deserved a point with the way we tried to play football on a good playing surface.’
Meanwhile, Knowles picked out one of his team mates for special praise:
‘Scooby (Richard Marshall) has done it again! He scored another screamer from about 25 yards, and he has done that throughout the season.’
However, Bradford’s number five is hoping for an improvement for back to back fixtures against Oxford City:
‘Towards the end of the second half, we appeared to get tired which is strange considering we have had a week off due to the postponement on Saturday. But, we face two tough games coming up and we need to be ready.’
