On the opening day of the Vanarama Conference North, Bradford (Park Avenue) registered their first point on the league table with a 3-3 draw against Gloucester City.
Trailing 2-1, the Avenue manager John Deacey decided to introduce Richard Marshall and recent arrival Scott Kerr to try and change the scoreline.
Making his debut for his new club, Kerr, 32, was part of the move that saw his side equalise with a late goal from Paul Walker.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the midfielder admitted it’s been a tough start for him:
“It’s a learning curve. I don’t feel as fit as I could be as I’ve gone from full time to part time. I still go the gym but it’s very different from training through the week with the team. I’m sure I’ll adapt to it and when I came on I felt I made a difference.
We’ve left with a point and now we’re looking forward to a local derby against Harrogate Town on Monday.”
