The Avenue midfielder and goalscorer Jordan Deacey spoke to the official website after the 1-1 draw with Oxford City.
The youngster scored the equaliser in the first half after going 1-0 down to a Jamie Cook goal, and the midfielder commented about his goal:
‘I saw the keeper off his line and I just hit it. It took a nice deflection off the defender over the goalkeeper into the top corner. It wasn’t a clean strike!’
With only five games remaining, Jordan Deacey gave his opinion on Avenue’s play-off chances:
‘I think it was a must win game tonight. We played all right, but I think we could of played a bit more football in the second half which is a little disappointing. But a point on a Wednesday night isn’t bad. We have got to win every game now and finish with 76 points, which could do it.’
