Following the 2-2 draw against Stalybridge Celtic, assistant manager Mark Hume spoke to the media.
The Avenue number two was disappointed to concede a late equaliser:
“A point away from home with the players we have out, we probably would have taken that before. But, overall through the game, I feel a bit down conceding another set-piece. We have to do better. I’ve had a discussion, it might not be your man but can’t we have brave men who will think I can go and win that? I want one of my men to attack it.”
However, Hume said that the performance was an improvement:
“Leamington was a disgrace, North Ferriby United was a disgrace, the first half on Saturday was better and today was better. We are improving.”
The assistant manager praised the performance from Stalybridge Celtic:
“Stalybridge (Celtic) changed their style of play, they were quite direct today. They had a game plan and it worked for them.”
