Following the 3-2 victory at Brighouse Town, Bradford (Park Avenue) assistant manager Mark Hume gave his thoughts to the official website.
Hume admitted that Bradford started well, but held off a spirited comeback by a resilient Brighouse Town side:
“We were good in the first 25 minutes of the first half but then we started to drop off. Credit to Brighouse Town because they they did well, but both teams made changes and pre-season is all about fitness and getting minutes on the pitch.”
What does Hume think of the Avenue’s pre-season so far?
“We might have held back some of the players but they’ve been through a good programme and done very well. You might see some of the players playing for 75-80 minutes as 45 minutes might not be enough now as we prepare for our first game at Gloucester City on Saturday 9 August.”
