Chris Howarth has become the latest player to commit his future to the club.
The 31 year old has become an important part of John Deacey’s squad, after impressing in his first season with the Avenue in the Conference North.
Quickly after joining from Frickley Athletic, Howarth became a regular starter in the starting eleven, featuring at right-back. As the season progressed, the versatile player was used in a variety of positions, including centre back, centre midfielder, winger, and even as a striker.
In his debut season at the Horsfall Stadium, Howarth started 33 games, making 14 substitute appearances and scored two goals, including a stoppage-time winner against Penrith AFC in the FA Cup with Budweiser Third Round Qualifying.
His manager John Deacey is delighted Howarth is staying for the 2014/15 season:
“Chris is one of the most honest people I know. He is very fit, plays with his heart and I’m very pleased to keep him at Bradford (Park Avenue).”
