Bradford (Park Avenue) captain Nathan Hotte spoke to the official website after the 2-1 victory against Guiseley AFC in the FA Cup with Budweiser Second Round Qualifying.
The midfielder was happy with the performance and result:
“Obviously we are pleased to get into the next round, we played a lot better than we did in the league game. We are always confident going into a game, but it’s putting it together for the full 90 minutes. We knew they (Guiseley AFC) would be up for it after the result last time and to get a goal before half time was big for us.”
After the victory, Hotte added his manager’s words were important for the Avenue:
“He (John Deacey) said last time we were rubbish! He told us to keep the ball better because that’s what we do and to try and dictate the game. We did up until half time but the result is all that matters.”
Finally, the Avenue captain is hoping for another cup run in the FA Cup with Budweiser this season:
“It is massive for the club financially. We got to the First Round for the past two years and hopefully we can make it for the third time and maybe get into the Second Round!”
