Bradford (Park Avenue) announced the signing of Danny Glover on Friday, and the striker spoke to the official website on his move.
Glover, 24, has joined the Avenue from The Skrill North outfit Worcester City, and is looking forward to the challenge:
“I’m really pleased to join Bradford (Park Avenue). I’ve played against them before and I like the way they play football and I think it will suit my game.”
Many Avenue fans will remember Glover from his time at FC Halifax Town and most recently Worcester City. Last weekend, the striker played his final game for City against his new club in the 6-1 defeat at the Horsfall Stadium.
Having experience at this level, Glover is hoping to improve whilst playing for the Avenue:
“For the first two years I was in this league I felt I did quite well. Then, I suffered an injury and it took about 2-3 months to get fit and I started to feel better at the end of last season. This season, I think I needed a fresh start and I know I can improve, but first of all, I’ve got to try and get in the team.”
Following the signing of the striker, the Avenue manager John Deacey is delighted to add Glover to his squad:
“He is a proven striker in this league and above. He has a great touch and is good in the air. He will be a great acquisition to Bradford (Park Avenue).”
Welcome to the Avenue Danny!
