Deasy: I Have My Little Trick

The Avenue may have conceded a third penalty in consecutive matches, but, Tim Deasy produced a similar save to that against Boston United, denying Darren Edwards from the penalty spot.

However, the goalkeeper admits that he is not happy about conceding goals:

‘I’m disappointed, I have conceded my fair share this year. I don’t concede many (penalties), but, I conceded one last week and saved one this week so it’s equal now. It’s all about mind games, I have my little trick, I won’t say what it is, but, it works for me!’

At the same time, Deasy is pleased that his side are continuing to pick up victories:

‘I know people are saying we are not keeping clean sheets, which is fair enough. But, the most important thing is to win the game, and keeping clean sheets is secondary. Not only that, we have kept the run going, winning four straight games.

During midweek, Bradford travel to Chester FC, and following the victory, the goalkeeper is looking forward to the fixture:

‘We are now going into a big game on Wednesday at Chester, it should be a great game they play football and we play football. If we get something from there, then we can look forward to the cup and look to get as far as possible.’
