Deacey: We Have Been Professional

Following their 4-1 victory against Ossett Albion, Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey spoke to the waiting media.

The Avenue manager was happy with the result, but, praised the visitors:

‘We have been professional throughout the rounds, but, credit to Ossett Albion. They worked hard, and made it very difficult for us. But, we have achieved what we set out to do and reach the First Round.’

The draw will take place tomorrow, and Deacey would prefer a particular fixture for the club:

‘I will be looking for a league club. It will be nice to get a home tie, it has been a decent pay day for the club today, I’m sure the board are happy!’

The next game for the Avenue is against Guiseley AFC on Tuesday in the West Riding County Cup, and will have to check the fitness of several players:

‘Jordan (Deacey) is a little tight, Paul Walker has a tight hamstring, so we will have to review it ahead of Guiseley AFC. Amjad Iqbal is coming back, but, I don’t know when. I wanted to get Ross (Daly) back, but, he has had an hiccup. We will have Matty James back and Jamie Jackson will play on Tuesday.’
