Deacey: 'We Were Brilliant'

Following the 2-0 victory against Vauxhall Motors, John Deacey spoke to the official website.

The Avenue boss could not hide his delight at the performance and result:

‘I’m very happy. I thought we were brilliant tonight, sometimes we were a bit sloppy in the second half, but, overall I’m pleased.’

On a night where the pitch was difficult to play on, Deacey picked out several individuals for praise:

‘I thought Nathan Hotte and Jordan Deacey were awesome in the middle, they bossed it in there. Also, it was a great goal from Tom Corner, it gives him the confidence now. I have to add that Michael Duckworth was magnificent in the first half.’

Finally, the Bradford boss gave his thoughts on recent arrivals and departures at the club:

‘Aiden (Savory) has come in, and he will add something to the squad. He did well when he came on, and will get better with more games. We have let Rob O’Brien go on loan to Farsley AFC to play some matches. He is still registered with the club because he is an important part of our plans.’
