Deacey Pleased With Avenue Character

Following the 2-2 draw at Solihull Moors, Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey was pleased to see Chris Howarth score an equaliser:

“The performance in the first half was excellent. We played some great football, but it was even in the second half. We showed great character and got a deserved equaliser. I think it was a fair result. It keeps the run going and we are doing well.”

Meanwhile, Deacey praised Marcus Bignot’s men after the final whistle:

“Solihull Moors played some decent football and in the second half they created more chances than ourselves.”

Next weekend, Bradford (Park Avenue) return to cup action, as they face Penrith AFC in the FA Cup with Budweiser Third Round Qualifying. In midweek, Deacey went to watch the replay and is expecting a tough game:

“I’m still tired! I got home at 1.15am but they looked a decent side against Scarborough Athletic. We will see how we go!”
