Following the 1-0 defeat to Gainsborough Trinity, the Avenue manager John Deacey wasn’t happy with the performance of his side:
“We were lethargic, lacked effort, and we didn’t play the way we know we can. That’s not what you expect from Bradford (Park Avenue). It was not good enough, and we’ll address it.
However, Deacey admitted he was pleased with the new centre-back partnership of Ryan Qualter and Billy Priestley:
“I thought both Qualts and Billy did well, they didn’t do anything wrong.”
