Deacey: 'It's Not Over'

Following the 2-1 defeat to Oxford City, John Deacey spoke to the official website.

The Avenue manager felt his side could have snatched at least a point at the end of the game:

‘We have lost once in ten games. We didn’t play particularly great but I felt we deserved something at the end. There was so much pressure on their goal, but we couldn’t get the goal.’

Despite the loss, Deacey remains optimistic about Bradford’s chance to reach the playoffs:

‘It’s not over. There will be more twists and we have to go there and beat them (Oxford City) on Wednesday.’

Finally, the Bradford boss would not criticise his players and instead praised the squad for recent results:

‘Of course I’m disappointed with the result, it was one of those nights. But full praise has to go to the lads, because they have put themselves in a good position and they have done really well.’
