Deacey: 'I'm Happy With a Point'

Since promotion into the Blue Square Bet North, John Deacey’s side remain unbeaten, after their draw against Harrogate Town on Saturday afternoon.

After the game, Deacey was content to come away from the game with a point:

‘In the first half we were excellent, but in the second, we were not as good. They (Harrogate Town) changed their pattern and put us under pressure all over the place, but, I’m happy with a point, it was a fair result.’

Nevertheless, the goal that Bradford conceded frustrated the Avenue manager:

‘We have conceded four goals this year, and every one of those is from a set piece, we have to look at it, and cure the problem.’

Despite the Town goal, Deacey was positive about certain performances:

‘I thought we showed great character. It was a fantastic strike by Richard Marshall, and I thought our midfield and, also, Paul Walker did well.’

The next game for Bradford (Park Avenue) is on Monday, as they host FC Halifax Town, and Deacey admits it will be tough:

‘FC Halifax Town will be up there. It is a big test, and with a small squad, it’s going to test us!’
