Deacey: 'I Want to Apologise'

Following their victory against Corby Town, Bradford (Park Avenue) remain unbeaten in sixth position.

After the game, manager John Deacey spoke to the club’s official website, and began, by issuing an apology to the travelling Bradford supporters:

‘I want to apologise to the people that came here, they didn’t deserve that second half performance. We have to learn quickly.’

However, the Avenue manager was able to smile, saying:

‘We have got three points. Before the season started, if you said to me we would have nine points from five games, I would’ve taken that. We haven’t been beaten and it has been a difficult start.’

Nevertheless, the newcomers to the division are suffering further injury problems, and Deacey admitted it is a problem:

‘The injury list is absolutely unbelievable. Jordan (Deacey) vomited four times before the game, and again at half time, but, he had to play. Also, Adam Clayton and James Riley came off too. I have to sign people on loans. For Monday, we are struggling to get eleven.’
