Deacey Angry With Loss

Following the disappointing 3-1 defeat to Stockport County, Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey was not happy with the performance of his players:

“We didn’t turn up. We didn’t compete in the areas of the park we needed to compete in. It was poor and we’ve got to regroup for Monday. We haven’t got a lot of time but we have to regroup.”

Danny Frost’s goal gave the Avenue hope of retaining their unbeaten start to the season, but the visitors failed to find the vital equaliser, conceding a late County goal in additional time. Deacey admitted his side didn’t respond well to Frost’s first goal of the season:

“From 2-0 down we get back to 2-1, but we were weak. We had chances to get back into the game, there were some poor performances out there today.”
