Following the thrilling 3-3 draw against Gloucester City, John Deacey spoke to the club’s official website.
The Avenue boss admitted he was disappointed with the defending from his side:
“It was an entertaining game, but our defending was poor. When you score three goals away from home you expect to win. Overall, I thought it was a fair result.”
However, Deacey was pleased with the reaction of his team after introducing three substitutions during the second half:
“We looked really positive going forward and we did well when I decided to change it. I thought Frosty was bright, Scotty Kerr was good in the middle and when Scooby (Richard Marshall) came on, his performance was like him telling me I should’ve been starting today.”
