Bradford (Park Avenue) started the season with a draw against Worcester City, thanks to a wonderful strike by Richard Marshall in the 88th minute.
After the game, John Deacey gave his opinion on the game:
‘In the first half, we were second in all departments. They (Worcester City) were sharper than us, and we didn’t look at the races. In the second half we dominated, but it’s annoying giving goals away on set pieces. Two corners, two goals, it’s slack.’
Despite the result, the Bradford (Park Avenue) manager has to deal with a number of injury problems:
‘They are all injured, Holland, Davidson and Jackson. It is one of those days, we were unlucky, and we missed Danny’s presence up front, but, I thought the boys who came on did well. Rob O’Brien has a thigh problem, we are hoping he is ok for Tuesday, but, if it went again, he could have been out for six weeks.’
Finally, Deacey smiled to comment:
‘It was great for the crowd and entertainment for you. It was a good game of football.’
