Deacey: 'A Battling Performance'

Following a 1-1 draw at Chester FC, Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey spoke to the club’s official website:

The Avenue boss could not hide his emotions after the result:

‘We did well, it was a battling performance, we came here not expecting anything! But, we got the formation right and we made the right changes. The credit has to go to the boys, I thought Hotte, Knowles and Deasy were awesome, and it keeps the run going.’

At the same time, Deacey admitted his side, during the game, were lucky:

‘We rode our luck, we started very brightly, but, then, we let them back into the game. To be honest, they (Chester FC) are a very good side, they have got strength and ability all over the park. It’s good to come to Chester FC and leave with a point.’

Ahead of Saturday, the Avenue manager has said he will make changes for the visit of Ossett Albion:

‘There will be a few changes, we rested a few tonight, but, we will see. Jordan (Deacey) is available and Jamie Jackson could be on the bench.’
