Davidson: 'It Was A Big Game'

The Avenue winger Alex Davidson scored the opening goal of the game against Corby Town, and he spoke to Press Officer Lewis Sale after the victory.

The former North Ferriby United man was pleased to grab three points:

‘It was a big game for us after our win on Monday. We tried to carry that momentum into this game which I thought we did. We started the game well and we got a couple of goals, but, we need to learn to see games out. We are capable but we are not used to being in this position.’

Despite scoring, Bradford’s number seven took the attention from his goal to focus on the result for the club:

‘It was nice to score, but, it’s about the three points. I’m glad to be playing and enjoying it with the lads.’

Now ninth in the Blue Square Bet North, Davidson is hoping for more victories as Bradford face a long list of matches to play until the end of the season:

‘Our position is reflective on a whole, there are a couple of games we would have liked to do better. We dropped some points at the beginning of the season because we were not used to this league. We can kick on, because we have a good squad and if we keep our players fit, we have an outside chance to get in the playoffs.’
