The club are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper John Danby.
After leaving the Vanarama Conference outfit Chester FC, the Avenue have secured the signature of the experienced goalkeeper.
Danby, 31, was a popular character at Chester FC making over 200 appearances during his two spells. After joining the Blues from Kidderminster Harriers, Danby joined Eastwood Town before returning to Chester FC in 2011.
Many Avenue supporters may remember Danby from his days between the sticks at Chester FC, as he was part of the Northern Premier League and Conference North promotion-winning sides.
The Avenue manager John Deacey is pleased to sign Danby:
“He’s a very experienced goalkeeper with a great track record. It’s great news for the club to replace John Lamb who has been a Bradford (Park Avenue) legend.”
