Colbeck Signs One-Year Contract

Bradford (Park Avenue) are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Joe Colbeck.

The 27 year old is the fifth new arrival at the Horsfall Stadium, and has signed a one-year contract with the club.

The winger joins fellow new signings Bradley Barraclough, Paddy Miller, Scott Kerr and Nathan Turner at the Avenue, as manager John Deacey continues to build his squad for the 2014/15 Conference North season.

Colbeck has gained plenty of Football League and Conference experience, having featured for Bradford City, Darlington, Oldham Athletic, Hereford United and most recently Grimsby Town.

Now, Colbeck is looking forward to pulling on a Bradford (Park Avenue) jersey:

“It will be different for me moving from being a full time professional to a part time footballer, but I’m really looking forward to it.

I had interest from other clubs, but after weighing up my options, it was an easy decision to join Bradford (Park Avenue). It is local to me, but, after playing against them before, I know it’s a well run club, plus other players, I know, have told me it’s a good club to play for.

There is a really good vibe around the place, and from what I’ve already seen, there is some good young talent in this squad.”

Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey is pleased to have secured the services of Colbeck:

“Joe has great pedigree and has played at a good level of football. He is a down to earth lad and I’m very grateful to have him here. I’m looking forward to working with Joe at Bradford (Park Avenue).”

Don’t forget you can watch Joe and Bradford (Park Avenue) welcome Doncaster Rovers to the Horsfall Stadium for the first pre-season friendly of the 2014/15 season tomorrow (Wednesday), with kick-off at 7.45pm.
