Bradford (Park Avenue) are pleased to announce Chib Chilaka has agreed to stay at the club for next season.
After signing from Harrogate Town, Chilaka made 42 appearances and scored 10 goals for the Avenue last season. At the beginning of the 2013/14 campaign, Chilaka was used on the right of a three-man attack. As the season continued, manager John Deacey moved the striker into a more central position which saw him score five goals in the final ten games of the season.
The 27 year old admits he’s loving his time at the Avenue and is hoping to improve on last season’s 10th place finish:
“I’m delighted to be staying with the club. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and felt really welcomed by everyone. We ended the season well and with the correct changes to the team, we can give the supporters something to cheer about next season.”
Also, the popular striker wanted to praise one of the junior sides, as he was unable to attend their presentation due to a family emergency:
“I want to congratulate the Under 14’s and especially anyone who won an award. I want to wish them a great summer and a successful new season ahead.”
