Chib Chilaka scored his first goal for the Avenue in The Skrill North against Stalybridge Celtic and the striker spoke to the official website.
The former Bradford City striker is confident his side can improve:
“I think it’s two points lost. Once we went ahead we looked comfortable. It’s disappointing another set-piece has cost us. The lads worked really hard in the second half, we will take the positives, but we have to look at points of improvement. John (Deacey) and (Mark) Hume are on about those improvements and the lads are willing to learn.”
Despite being withdrawn in the second half, Chilaka praised the performance of both teams:
“I think both teams looked really fit and strong, and that is credit to the fitness levels of them and to us.”
Finally, Chilaka is pleased to score his first goal for his new club:
“It’s been a long time! A goal is a goal and it’s nice to not be worrying about it!”
