Bradford (Park Avenue) suffered their eighth league defeat of the season as Tamworth took all three points from Horsfall.
Two goals from Brendon Daniels, a goal from Reece Styche and a screamer from Kayden Jackson put the Lambs in a great position at the half waypoint.
Chib Chilaka did get the Avenue back on level terms after 17 minutes, but three goals in eight minutes meant Tamworth had the game all but won at half-time.
Ryan Qualter pulled one back in the second half and the Avenue tried to force a come back, however Andy Morrell’s men defended well meaning the game ended 4-2.
It was a frantic start to the game with both teams having early chances. Jackson had the first of the game when he smashed just wide after being one on one with John Danby. Then straight down the other end Richard Marshall dragged a long-range effort just wide.
The deadlock was broken after 13 minutes when Daniels tapped in after great play by Kevin Thornton. Thornton, who was a big threat throughout the first-half, took the ball past Niall Heaton before striking towards goal. Danby saved the effort but Thornton picked up the rebound and played it to Daniels, who couldn’t miss.
However, Bradford weren’t behind for long. Chilaka picked the ball up 20 yards, before running through the heart of the Tamworth defence and finishing in the top right corner.
The Avenue would have been behind shortly after if it wasn’t for Danby in goal. Jackson played a clever back heel in to the path of Daniels, but he was unable to beat Danby.
Tamworth did extend their lead after 37 minutes. Daniels played a nice through ball to Styche, who on debut slotted home in to the bottom left corner.
The third goal followed just two minutes later. Jackson, who played as a trialist for the Avenue in a friendly against Doncaster, picked the ball up 35 yards out. Riding two challenges Jackson struck from 25 yards and the ball smashed against the post and in to the net.
Just before half-time Tamworth added their fourth. Breaking from an Avenue corner Stych played in Daniels, who placed the ball past Danby to get his second goal of the game.
After the break the Avenue began to put pressure on the Tamworth and were rewarded just seven minutes in to the second half. From a corner, Qualter rose well and headed home to give Avenue a lifeline.
Qualter was a real threat from set plays and he went close to adding another. A corner from the right was attacked well by Qualter but his header deflected just wide.
The Tamworth keeper was tested most from a Grant Black free kick. From 25 yards Black stepped up and smashed his effort but James Belshaw dived to his right and saved well.
