Bradford (Park Avenue) are delighted to announce the signing of striker Bradley Barraclough.
Since the end of the 2013/14 season, the Avenue have confirmed that seven players, so far, have extended their stay. And, Barraclough is the first new signing that will link up with his new teammates in pre-season ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.
In recent years, the striker has featured against his new club, appearing for Buxton FC and, most recently, Gainsborough Trinity. For Steve Housham’s side, the 25 year old has scored twice in the previous three meetings with the Avenue in the Conference North.
The new arrival is excited to be part of the future for the club:
“After speaking with the manager John Deacey and assistant manager Mark Hume, I was impressed with their thoughts and ambitions for the club, the move appealed to me.
I’ve admired the way they try to play football, and from my point of view, that particular style of play suits my game. In the end, it was an easy decision to move here.
Like last season, there will be no easy game in this league, but the aim is to finish as high as we can and hopefully push for a playoff place.”
Bradford (Park Avenue) manager John Deacey admitted it’s a coup to sign Barraclough:
“I’m very pleased that Bradley has joined Bradford (Park Avenue). He has a fantastic work rate and can score plenty of goals. He’s caused us problems over the years but he’s at the right age and is still very ambitious to do well in the game.”
To watch Bradley in action for the Avenue, don’t forget season tickets are on sale, and the Early Bird deadline is Saturday 21 June. If you’re under 16 or a student (on production of valid ID), you can get a season ticket for FREE.
