The Avenue’s recent addition Adam Baker scored his first goal for Bradford against Hinckley United and the young striker spoke to the official website.
The Bradford City loanee was happy to score the fourth goal, despite coming on as a second half substitute:
‘I have not had a lot of minutes but when I came on I wanted to help the team. It was good to get a goal. You have to keep the right attitude and as soon as I get on, I want to work hard and do my best.’
Also, the young striker praised his new team mates, and is hoping the Avenue taste success at the end of the season:
‘They are a good side and have shown that with recent results against top teams. It’s hard to get into the starting line up. It’s a good team to be at and I wish the club all the best for promotion because their attitude and the way they play is top-notch.’
Meanwhile, the Bantams youth product has been trying to focus on his time at the Avenue:
‘I have only had two training sessions at Bradford City and there is some banter but you have to keep your mind right. It’s tough playing three or four games a week, but if you stick at it and keep up the work rate hopefully you get results.’
