Bradford (Park Avenue) have solidified their defensive options by securing the signing of experienced centre back Simon Ainge.
The 26 year old joins following a season and a half at neighbours FC Halifax Town, where he has made 48 appearances in the Vanarama Conference.
The Shipley born defender arrives at the Horsfall for the second time in his career, after he made 3 appearances in a short spell following his release by Bradford City, where he had progressed through the youth team ranks. He made 14 senior appearances at Valley Parade.
Ainge has also spent 2 and a half seasons at Guiseley, making 92 league appearances for our Vanarama Conference North rivals before joining Luton Town for a short spell. Ainge will face his former employees at Nethermoor in just two weeks time.
He has also made 2 appearances for the England C team.
The club are awaiting FA confirmation on Ainge’s availability for the trip to Leamington on Sunday.
